WeddingWire alternative: is it still active, and how does it compare?

Short answer: yes. WeddingWire is still running in 2026, under The Knot Worldwide — the same parent company as The Knot — and both brands were named in its 2026 award announcements.

It is also more international than people assume, with sites across North America, Latin America, Asia and Europe. What it does not have is Greek.

Here is where WhiteClover is genuinely different, and where it is not. Every claim links to a source.

Which one should you actually pick?

The honest headline is that WeddingWire and The Knot are the same company, and have been since 2018. If you are comparing the two of them against each other, you are comparing two brands with one owner.

Choose WeddingWire if…

  • You are marrying in a country The Knot Worldwide covers with a dedicated brand — the US, the UK (Hitched), Spain, France, Italy, Mexico, Brazil or Portugal.
  • You want the vendor reviews and listing volume that only a marketplace running since 2007 accumulates.
  • You do not need any of it in Greek.
  • You are already using The Knot and want the same marketplace under a second brand.

Choose WhiteClover if…

  • You need Greek. The Knot Worldwide localises seriously — it runs Bodas.net, Mariages.net, Matrimonio.com, Casamentos.com.br, Casamentos.pt and Hitched — and there is no Greek brand among them.
  • You are marrying in Greece and want vendors who actually work there.
  • You want guests posting photos and video to a private feed from a QR code, included rather than bought separately.
  • You would rather reach vendors directly than through a paid advertising placement.

Sources for every claim on this page

We only publish claims we could open and read ourselves. weddingwire.com blocks automated requests, so we make no claim about its couple-facing features here — the claims below are sourced to The Knot Worldwide and WeddingPro, which we could read. All links checked 27 July 2026; if you spot something out of date, tell us and we will correct it.

Deliberately absent: WeddingWire's couple-facing features and pricing. weddingwire.com returns 403 to automated requests, so we could not read it ourselves, and we will not repeat figures we have not checked — their tools are free as far as we know, and you should confirm on weddingwire.com. No platform in this group publishes vendor prices or contract lengths, so we make no claim about those either; an earlier version of this page did, and was wrong to.
