Misirlou Events — Wedding Planner (Athens)

Misirlou Events is an Athens-based wedding planning studio founded in 2021 by Eva Kanand. Born in the Nile Delta and raised on Naxos, Eva brings a cosmopolitan eye and a love for the Greek islands to every wedding she designs. The name Misirlou — "the Egyptian girl" in the old Greek song — captures that mix of cultures.

Athens, Naxos and the rest of Greece

We are based in Athens and Naxos and travel for weddings across Greece and Cyprus. Past celebrations include intimate beach ceremonies at Ippokampos on Naxos, styled receptions at Coco-Mat Athens Jumelle, and full destination weddings on the Greek islands — Mykonos, Santorini, Corfu, Crete, Folegandros and Kos.

A small team that works like family

Eva works with a tight, hand-picked team: manager Barbie Tzimi, graphic designer Dimitris Ntaoulas for stationery and signage, and hair stylist Dimitris Anastasiadis. We pair this core team with small, local suppliers — florists, photographers, caterers — so every wedding stays personal and supports the Greek wedding community.

Naxos is our magic island. Eva grew up there, and we know every chapel, beach and family taverna worth a wedding. From sunset ceremonies at Agios Georgios to long-table dinners under olive trees, we build itineraries that turn a wedding into a multi-day Greek experience for your guests.
